The U.S. Founding Fathers Might, Still Actually Be Proud Of Parts Of America Today

It is said frequently today, “Our founding fathers would roll over in their graves to see what is happening in America today.” This may, indeed, be correct. The framers of our revolutionary country went to battle with the pen and the musket to live in liberty and justice.

Amidst all the ways America is likely falling short of, or being held back from, the founders’ vision, are there any encouraging indications? Does anything exist in America that resembles the founders’ hopes? Here are five pursuits and movements in America today that can re-strengthen the sense of connection to the founders and, just maybe, let the founding fathers find pride in today’s country:

The resurgence of conscious, compassionate, and autonomous eating

While there are people all across this nation who are drowning in illness and debt from a sickened populace, there is nonetheless a Jefferson-esque revival movement for the freedom to eat real, healthy, nutritious, natural food. Thomas Jefferson said, “If the people let government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny.”

Further, the same Thomas Jefferson, who said, “I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny,” also said, “Until we stop harming all other living beings, we are still savages.”

So it emerges that conscious, compassionate eaters, who stand up for their right to eat naturally, and break out of the prison of what advertisements, schools, and extensions of corrupt government agencies are offering as “food,” might in fact make the author of the Declaration of Independence, and the founder who urged James Madison to write the Bill of Rights, suspend his state of shock at what this nation has become for just a moment of a smile.

The rediscovery of hemp

Industries, activists, and the citizenry are realizing that the hemp plant fiber should be grown and used in America as food, fabric, fuel, rope, paper, and more, as it was during the founders’ time. The State of Kentucky recently passed a legalization of the hemp industry with 90% of the legislative vote.

Use of hemp had strong support from the founding fathers like George Washington, John Adams, and Thomas Jefferson. Washington planted, grew, and marketed many acres of hemp. The framers wrote drafts of the US Constitution on hemp paper.

Today, organic hemp imported from nearby countries is growing fast in popularity as a food and clothing fabric in the U.S.A., while political movements to allow its domestic growth and other amazing uses are beginning to be heard in both states and the federal government.

Agrarian living with austere respect and gratitude for seeds

Benjamin Franklin, the philosopher, scientist, and statesman of the American Revolution said:

“Finally, there seem to be but three ways for a nation to acquire wealth. The first is by war as the Romans did in plundering their conquered neighbors. This is robbery. The second by commerce which is generally cheating. The third by agriculture the only honest way; wherein man receives a real increase of the seed thrown into the ground, in a kind of continual miracle wrought by the hand of God in his favor, as a reward for his innocent life, and virtuous industry.”

You would have to stretch Franklin’s position to even begin to see him possibly condoning giant agribusiness ventures of the biotech industry, because such ventures assume the right to insert the products of commerce, fabricated in highly expensive laboratories, into the ground, therefore turning agriculture from a continual (unbroken) miracle wrought by the hand of God into an activity inherently full of man-made cheating.

And when Thomas Jefferson discusses agriculture as the wisest contribution “to good morals and happiness,” he probably didn’t include the suicides of farmers whom GMO seeds have ruined in the category of good morals and happiness.

The organic, GMO-free, topsoil-regenerating movement, from the slopes of permaculture to the legislatures, to reduce the power and influence of GMOs over agriculture, would turn up the corners of America’s founders’ lips.

Freedom of speech

Free minds in America today are contributing an increasing portion of the intellectual capabilities necessary to keep the republic in shape, while fewer relevant ideas come from minds who are primarily concerned with maintaining large government bureaus or corporations. The founders foresaw the utmost importance of preventing the impingement of freedom of speech.

The First Amendment in the Bill of Rights represents this recognition of the importance of free minds and freedom of speech. Today, a vast, growing community of Americans are actively utilizing and defending their freedom of speech and spreading new cycles of ideas through 21st century means: Information-entrepreneurship, controversial literature and journalism, new political movements, and through the internet, alternative media, citizen documentarians, and more. Those self-publishing, blogging, YouTubing, and filmmaking today with coverage of real, sometimes buried stories and fresh ideas, are more on the pulse of true human yearnings today than big institutions can be. And they are greatly appreciated friends of the Constitution’s framers.

Spiritual inquiry

The desire to know the mystery of the universe intimately, and to sense one’s special place and role in the unfolding, living cosmos, appears to be more intensely expressed in America today than ever before. Perhaps nowhere else, ever, has all the spiritual traditions and psychological studies been available to immerse oneself in.

The patriot who encouraged the American Revolution, Thomas Paine, said:

“When the divine gift of reason begins to expand itself in the mind and calls man to reflection, he then reads and contemplates God and His works. The creation is the Bible of the true believer in God. Everything in this vast volume inspires him with sublime ideas of the Creator…What can be a greater miracle than the creation itself, and his own existence?…Reason and our belief become happily united. The wonderful structure of the universe, and everything we behold in the system of the creation, prove to us, far better than books can do, the existence of a God, and at the same time proclaim His attributes….It is by the exercise of our reason that we are enabled to contemplate God in His works, and imitate Him in His ways. When we see His care and goodness extended over all His creatures, it teaches us our duty toward each other, while it calls forth our gratitude to Him. It is by forgetting God in His works, and running after the books of pretended revelation, that man has wandered from the straight path of duty and happiness, and become by turns the victim of doubt and the dupe of delusion.”

Contemporary spiritual aspirants who, with awe, see the beauty in it all, and from this direct experience seek to treat all beings with goodness, are linked in a spiritual connection to America’s founders.

George Washington said, “The ways of Providence being inscrutable, and the justice of it not to be scanned by the shallow eye of humanity, nor to be counteracted by the utmost efforts of human power or wisdom, resignation, and as far as the strength of our reason and religion can carry us, a cheerful acquiescence to the Divine Will, is what we are to aim.”

Washington stated at his farewell address, “Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports.”

A curious, open attitude to quiet, divine teachings within creation, and a desire for deep insight and awareness that matches the depth of our challenges, is welling up in America. George Washington, Thomas Paine, and other founders who realized how precious our souls and our freedom are, would be glad about that.

Alternatives that address today’s challenges can be empowered by seeing where America stands vis-a-viz the founders

The founders lived for a better civilization, in the face of tyranny, injustice, instability, war, uncertainty, and more. To rise to the occasion, they did not stop at what had existed up to that time. They stood on the shoulders of those who had influenced them to come up with their own expressions of improving the world. America faces pressures today that may be analogous to those of the founders’, but the challenges are coming to us in different forms.

Since problems must be discerned before they can be solved, the founders started by writing the list of grievances in the Declaration of Independence. Discerning the problems truthfully is additionally difficult in today’s maze of spin, spam, and information saturation. A clear-sighted, modern-day declaration of revolting grievances might be necessary to unleash the new wave of consciousness and natural way-of-life revolution. NaturalNews seems to be knocking on the door of such a list.

At the very least, we can get more connected to the spirit of freedom and justice within us, and in the relationship between us and America’s founding history, by noticing movements alive today – such as organic GMO-free food, hemp products, involvement in farms, freedom of speech, and an opened, curious spirituality – that would give the founding fathers a taste, for a moment, of peace in an afterlife that is surely tumultuous if they are watching us.

The Revolt On Washington Is Just Getting Started, Prepare For Real Americans To Take Their Country Back

The establishment is clueless. Hopelessly corrupt. Immeasurably incompetent. The media, the political elite, the criminal bankers, the idiotic academics… they have absolutely no clue about the size of the fervent backlash that’s headed their way.

No matter what happens between now and tomorrow night, the backlash against corrupt government has been launched. A stolen “victory” for Hillary Clinton will only further empower that backlash as it escalates into a nationwide citizens’ revolt. a revolt against Washington that has been long overdue.

Washington D.C. is run by unapologetic criminals. They have abandoned any real interests of the people and work only to enrich themselves. They rig elections, they rig the polls, they rig the news and they rig the education system to teach our children that independent thinking is not just wrong, but socially unacceptable. The P.C. culture of obedient thought control and language obedience is the leading edge of a totalitarian society run by dictatorial despots.

The FBI has now decided that Hillary Clinton is above the law. She — and others like her — have been handed absolute immunity against all crimes. Even as she runs the largest and most destructive political racketeering scheme in U.S. history, the Department of Justice blocks all requests for grand juries and search warrants, covering up Hillary’s openly criminal behavior.

The leftist media has become an accomplice to the crimes of the Clintons

The leftist media, for their part, have become accomplices in the criminal Obama / Clinton regime, deliberately refusing to air Wikileaks bombshells that expose the stunning complicity of John Podesta, Cherryl Mills, Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton and Loretta Lynch. Right now, the mainstream media is, by any reasonable, objective assessment, a complicit cabal of criminal accomplices working in conspiracy with Hillary Clinton to crush democracy and steal this election from the people.

From every corner of the establishment — academia, media, government — the message to America is clear: The ruling elite will TELL YOU what to think, whom to hate and how to vote. The unrelenting bigotry and hatred of the left is on full display today, not just with the endless defamatory attacks on Trump himself, but also with the leftist violent bombing attacks on Republican campaign headquarters buildings, Trump buildings and even the FBI. Leftists also hate police officers and try to kill them at every opportunity (because they hate the rule of law).

All this hatred, violence, bigotry and intolerance characterizes the LEFT, not people on the right. The political left is the most hate-filled, bigoted, lawless, intolerant and dangerously violent incarnation of radical politics that the world has witnessed since the French Revolution. It is on the backs of these hate-filled violent extremists that sinister political deceivers like Hillary Clinton sickeningly claim to hold a monopoly on compassion, peace and love.

It’s all part of the “Big Lie” of the left: They have no love or tolerance to offer at all. What they offer is confiscation of your money, a totally rigged justice system, condemnation of common sense and harsh demands for absolute obedience to their twisted, idiotic cultural narratives that make no sense… such as claiming a biological man is a “woman” because he suddenly decides to impersonate one.

The lunacy of the left has reached the point of mass mental illness, and it’s only by ending their lunatic reign in Washington that We the People can bring true healing to this nation.

If Clinton wins, it will only further enrage a nation that’s already fed up with the lunacy (and failed policies) of the left

That’s why the backlash against Washington is going to be so large. Whether Trump wins the election or not, the intelligent people of America have been awakened… and they can’t be lulled back to sleep with more false promises like “if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.”

Today, the American people know the democrat rendition of government is a LIE. They know that Hillary Clinton cheated during the debates by being given the debate questions in advance. They know that Obamacare was a big fat LIE and was designed to bankrupt the economy from the start. They are fully aware that the “swamp” of Washington is so full of foul-smelling political creatures and ghoulish, seething leftists that the only solution remaining is to, as Trump says, “drain the swamp.”

America has reached the point where the people of this country simply will no longer tolerate the total lawlessness, corruption and criminality of the establishment democrats. We the People will not recognize any legitimacy whatsoever of a Clinton “presidency” — an election outcome that can only be achieved through organized voter fraud and theft of power. Under a fair, free and open election, Hillary Clinton would be losing by 40 points.

We the People do not accept the FBI cover-ups, the DOJ collusion and the media complicity in the crimes of Clinton and the DNC. We the People will not stand by idly as our future is stolen from us by an organized criminal racket of lawless democrats.

No, We the People will, if necessary, take all necessary steps to restore and protect the Republic because the government must answer to the People, not rule over them. There is no circumstance under which this revolution of awakening goes quiet at this point. If anything, it grows by leaps and bounds as tens of millions of Americans take to the streets to demand their country back.

This either ends in absolute tyranny or hundreds of high-level democrats being marched off to prison

That’s why I say the revolt on Washington has begun. I don’t mean a shooting war, by the way. I mean a political revolution. The Washington establishment, which once enjoyed the trust of nearly 90% of the people, is now almost universally viewed as a useless, corrupt CANCER on the nation. The special interests must go. The sellout RINOs must go. The criminal leftist racketeers must go. The big money donors must be shut down and shut out. The criminal bankers, Clinton conspirators and DOJ traitors must be JAILED.

To really #DrainTheSwamp in Washington, we must relentlessly pursue the criminal indictment of hundreds of political operatives throughout the DNC, the DOJ, the Obama administration and the Clinton racket. Only by marching these criminals out in Washington in handcuffs can we ever hope to restore America’s faith in the institution of limited government.

Or perhaps it’s already beyond that. We may already be at the point where government will be forever viewed as hopelessly corrupt… beyond repair… operated in eternal defiance of the will of the people to enrich the political elite. As Zero Hedge explains, “Most Trump supporters don’t want the government to do something for them; they want the government to quit doing things to them. They viscerally revile the elite – it’s personal – and they want no part of that class or its government.”

From the same article:

Revolutions dawn when an appreciable number of the ruled realize their rulers are intellectual and moral inferiors. The mainstream media is filled with vituperative, patronizing, and insulting explanations of what’s “behind” the Trump phenomenon. It all boils down to revulsion with the self-anointed, incompetent, pretentious, hypocritical, corrupt, prevaricating elite that presumes to rule this country. It is, in a word, inferior to the populace on the other side of the yawning chasm, the ones they have patronized and insulted for decades, and the other side knows it.

Tomorrow’s election will gauge the enormity of the public backlash against the criminal class in Washington

The backlash against the Clinton machine cover-ups is going to be intense. As Dick Morris explains in this video, FBI head James Comey’s announcement that Clinton would not be criminally indicted may cause “a backlash among Trump supporters, almost guaranteeing they come out to vote.”

Suddenly, Trump supporters go from “80% certain to vote” to something more like “95% certain to vote.” And since turnout is the key to victory, the FBI’s own collusion with Clinton may have set forces into motion that will achieve a stunning Trump landslide.

Even if that doesn’t happen, James Comey’s collusion with the Clintons – and his refusal to apply the same laws that would have ensnared anyone else — will no doubt spur a massive post-election backlash. If Clinton manages to steal the vote and seize a numerical victory on Tuesday, the only real message to almost half the nation will be, “This system is so totally corrupt that all of it must go.” The conclusion will be almost universal: The American system of federal government has become an enemy of the People and must therefore be dismantled and abandoned or replaced.

Prepare to march in the streets by the millions in peaceful revolt. Stay tuned for further instructions as the situation warrants.

Big News About Big Pharma And The Government Are Suppressing Marijuana’s Medicinal Benefits

The cannabis plant’s medicinal value is virtually unmatched by any modern medicine – even scientific evidence has shown us that. And yet, for some reason, the DEA continues to ignore the mountains of evidence that medical marijuana can, and does, help millions of people across the United States.

Take, for example, the 100 million-some-odd people in the U.S. who suffer with debilitating chronic pain. Many of those people have had no choice but to turn to opioid pain relievers – you know, the drugs that are creating an addiction epidemic in our country and countless others. Those prescription painkillers are responsible for thousands of deaths each year. The American Society of Addiction Medicine estimates that 1.9 million people suffer with an addiction involving prescription painkillers, and over half a million people suffer with heroin addiction. The agency also notes that 4 out of 5 new heroin users started out on opioid painkillers. Estimates from the CDC have suggested that the majority of people who die from an opioid overdose had a prescription and were not using the drugs illegally.

Clearly, opioids are problematic in our society. And yet, for some reason, the immense and extreme detrimental side effects of opioids – like addiction, accidental overdose and death – are somehow not severe enough to outweigh their potential medicinal value.

This would possibly be an acceptable rationale, if marijuana – which has a low potential for addiction and has an extremely low risk of overdose – was not illegal because the powers that be maintain that any benefit received from cannabis is vastly overpowered by its “risk” potential. It simply doesn’t make any sense, and is totally contrary to what quite a bit of research has revealed.

This hypocrisy is underlined by recent research which revealed that cannabis is actually being used as an “exit drug” to help people get off street drugs like heroin, and even opioid painkillers. Zach Walsh, associate professor of the University of British Columbia, led the systematic review, which was published in the journal Clinical Psychology Review. Walsh commented, “Research suggests that people may be using cannabis as an exit drug to reduce the use of substances that are potentially more harmful, such as opioid pain medication.”

Other studies have shown that marijuana could actually be used to help cure opioid addiction by reducing the severity of withdrawal symptoms. One study from Columbia University, found that patients given THC during recovery experienced less severe symptoms and were more likely to continue with the treatment program. Another study from the University of Michigan, found that medical marijuana could also be used to replace the use of opioid drugs in pain management, and reduced the need for the prescription painkillers. In fact, 185 patients reported a 45 percent overall improvement in their quality of life after making the switch. Patients also reported a 64 percent reduction in use of their conventional opioid medications.

Essentially, science is indicating that in addition to helping people currently addicted to opioids, medical cannabis could actually help bring an end to the epidemic by providing a safe alternative to begin with.

There are veritable mountains of evidence, both scientific and anecdotal in nature, affirming that cannabis does indeed have medical value. And yet the DEA continues to make obtuse and uninformed statements about marijuana. In discussing cannabis prior to the agency’s most recent ruling, Russ Baer, a staff coordinator in the Office of Congressional and Public Affairs at the DEA, brazenly stated, “There’s no safe, effective medical use, and a high abuse potential, and it can’t be used in medical settings.”

These sentiments have no basis in reality. Baer himself acknowledged this when he noted that the plant has many medical uses. He claims that the government needs to sort out which of the compounds in marijuana are beneficial and which ones aren’t.

These bureaucrats are failing miserably at hiding the fact that Big Pharma intends to create medications based on the plant’s compounds. Why allow the whole plant to be used when you can divvy it up into parts and sell them all for money? They’ve already done it with a product called Dronabinol.

Almost 30 years ago, in 1988, the DEA’s own administrative law judge, Francis Young, recommended rescheduling cannabis. Young stated that “marijuana, in its natural form, is one of the safest therapeutically active substances known to man. By any measure of rational analysis marijuana can be safely used within a supervised routine of medical care.” Unsurprisingly, the DEA denied the petition anyway.

Recent studies have also shown that in 2013 – when just 17 states had medical marijuana laws – medical marijuana contributed to just over $165 million in savings on prescription drugs. Since that time, medical marijuana use has expanded quite a bit. Imagine what those states are probably saving in care costs now. That clears things up a little bit, right?

The failure of the DEA to reschedule cannabis and acknowledge the medicinal value of this plant is an embarrassment. There is, at this point, one reason – and one reason only – that would explain why our government has failed to keep with current science – and that’s money.
